Department of Education approved classes for primary school teachers

There are two courses specifically for primary school teachers which are approved by the Department of Education. Teachers can choose between set dancing or tin whistle / singing and the fee is €80 per class.

It is recommended to pre-register for these classes by downloading the Primary Teacher Registration Form and posting it along with payment before 7th July. Alternatively it is possible to register on the Sunday evening or Monday morning of the Summer School.


Registration for classes and workshops

Sunday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Áras Phádraig (all classes).
Monday at 9.00 a.m. in the the Primary School for whistle and flute, in the main office of the Vocational School for other music classes and in the Community Centre for set dancing and singing.
It is posible to pre-register for all classes by downloading the Student Registration Form and posting it along with payment before 7th July.

Beginners may enrol in the set dancing, tin whistle, singing and bodhrán classes.
Instrument classes will be graded.

Entry fee for morning classes and lectures (recitals, concert and ceilithe not included):
Adults €80, Children (under 16) €65, second and subsequent child(ren) from same family €60.
